Step 1: Repairs
Many decks require some type of repair for rotten or split deck boards. Often, spindels are broken or twisted and need to be replaced. AtlantaBlue can take care of these repairs as well as many other services, including:

Step 2: Cleaning
Once the surface is repaired and you have a functional deck, you will want to make sure it is cleaned properly. AtlantaBlue has years of experience cleaning wood, and their products and treatment of your wood surfaces will help to rejuvenate them, not harm them. We use strippers and detergents formulated specifically for wood to remove mold, mildew and environmental pollutants along with just the right amount of water pressure to leave your deck looking great in its natural state. We then prepare a final light acidic rinse which neutralizes the stripper - and opens up the pores of the wood. This balances the PH of the wood and brightens certain woods - this rinse helps give your wood a longer lasting professional finish.
Step 3: Drying
We use an electronic moisture meter to help us ensure that your deck is dry before we seal it - we will never rush the process in bringing you professional, long-lasting results.
Step 4: Sealing
Deck sealing is a process that requires an experienced hand, knowledge and experience. Did you know that each type of wood has to be treated differently?
With regard to when a new deck should be sealed: pressure treated pine that is being sold now is called Prowood and it needs to be sealed right away.
With regard to stain choices: We like using Cabot stains for their superior performance out in the field. It is a product that will hold up for many years, and Cabot offers 74 different colors to choose from.
